Why does God create people to worship Him?
God is the supreme creator and ruler of the universe, there before the world began and rightfully worshipped by everything in His creation. Since God created us, He knows how our innermost parts work and therefore knows exactly what is best for us. God loves us and wants what is best for us, and knows that when we worship Him, we find the most joy, freedom and fulfillment possible.
What is God's plan for the Jews? Are they still His chosen people?
The Jews are God’s chosen people. He might have a special plan for them since they are his chosen people, but nobody knows for sure the mind and plans of God. God is able to do things that are beyond our human understanding if he wants to.
If God is almighty and can control anything, then why did He allow other religions to be created?
For this question, I will use the Catechism found on page 845 of the Book of Common Prayer:
Q. What are we by nature?
A. We are part of God's creation, made in the image of God.
Q. What does it mean to be created in the image of God?
A. It means that we are free to make choices: to love, to create, to reason, and to live in harmony with creation and with God.
Q. Why then do we live apart from God and out of harmony with creation?
A. From the beginning, human beings have misused their freedom and made wrong choices.
Q. Why do we not use our freedom as we should?
A. Because we rebel against God, and we put ourselves in the place of God.
If you are ever wondering about the questions of our faith, the Catechism is a great reference. You can find an online version here, I highly recommend checking it out!
