A graduate of the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY, he completed his theological training at the University of Durham, Durham, England. He was ordained there while pursuing a graduate degree in Church History. In 1994 he helped found NAMS and continues to serve as the Servant General. He is married to the artist Cynthia Hoppin Shuler.

Love One Another As Jesus Has Loved UsThe Rev. Mark D. Cooke has been involved in full time pastoral ministry since 1979; serving Baptist churches and ministries for 20+ years, then nondenominational ministries overseas and in the USA; and serving in Anglican churches since 2007.
Raised in Charleston, Mark has served churches and ministries in South Carolina, North Carolina, Texas, Portugal and Spain. Since May of 2020, he has served as a full time hospice chaplain with Amedisys but also continues to do supply work in our Diocese and goes to the nations once a year for mission work. Mark has a heart for the nations and the Church and has ministered in Christ’s Church in over 15 countries. |
Share the Faith with OthersThe Rev. Dr. Rob Sturdy has been the Anglican Chaplain to the Corp of Cadets at St. Alban’s Anglican Chapel at the Citadel, Charleston, from July 2017 to the present. He served as Associate Rector at St. Andrew’s, Mt. Pleasant from 2012 to 2017 and served as the Rector at Trinity Church, Myrtle Beach from 2008 to 2012. Prior to becoming their Rector, he served as their Curate from 2006 – 2007. Sturdy teaches in the DMin program at Trinity School for Ministry in Ambridge, PA. He is an active participant on the leading edge of international scholarship in the area of historical theology. He and his wife, Stephanie, have been married since 2005. They have two children.

Stay Focused on the Coming KingdomBorn in 1960 in Illinois and raised in central New Jersey, Kendall Harmon is a graduate of the Lawrenceville School. Dr. Harmon holds degrees from Bowdoin College, Regent College, Vancouver, B.C., and Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry. In 1993 he was awarded his D.Phil. from Oxford University. He is married to Elizabeth, an Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing at MUSC, and they have three young adult children, Abigail (married to Joseph Martin), Nathaniel, and Selimah. From January 2002 until the summer of 2021, Dr. Harmon served as Canon Theologian of the Diocese of SC and associate rector at Christ St. Paul's, Yonges Island, SC. Since that time he has become the Theologian in residence at Church of the Holy Cross, Sullivan’s Island, SC. His ministry emphasizes preaching, teaching and writing.
