Dr. James DeMarco
Jay is a native Charlestonian that spent much of his parent's hard earned money by attending Porter Gaud school for 12 years. His wife, Michelle, of 28 years was homecoming queen of Bishop England. They dated throughout college and were married in his 3rd year of medical school at MUSC. Initially, he trained in Emergency medicine at Wake Forest. But his love of surgery and fascination with super clean and shiny drills, knives, and saws caused him to change course and study orthopedics back here in Charleston. A glutton for punishment after 2 residencies, he then did fellowship training in shoulder and knee surgery at Lake Tahoe. They have 3 grown children - 1 of them married and none of them with a criminal record. He has worked as an Orthopedic surgeon in Charleston for 20 years and his life, his marriage, and his medical practice absolutely transformed by a personal encounter with Jesus Christ over a decade ago. All the blessings of his life he wholeheartedly attributes to God who holds no records of wrongs.
