The Rev. Justin Hare
Justin is a Charleston native who grew up attending St. Michael’s Church. His blood runs Duke blue, having played on the Duke men’s golf team and obtained his B.A. in History from Duke in 2009. Afterwards, he returned to the Anglican Diocese of SC to work in youth ministry, becoming the Youth Minister at St. Michael’s Church in 2010. Justin was awarded the Leadership Development scholarship at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia and graduated from there with his MDiv in 2017. Upon graduation, he accepted the call from Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church in Clemson, SC to embark on what he believes to be the most strategic mission field today: American college campuses. This calling continued in the summer of 2020, when Justin returned to Charleston to be the Assistant for Young Adults and College Ministry at St. Philips Church in Charleston. Justin is passionate about seeing those outside the Church encounter Jesus Christ and the power of his gospel, as well as equipping those within the Church to live for Christ in every aspect of their lives. He is married to Molly (a Mount Pleasant native) and they have two children: Graceanna (7) and Law (4). They currently reside in Mount Pleasant and, in their rare bits of spare time, can be found riding bikes, on the beach, or on the golf course.
