Guidelines for reopening as of Sunday, September 20:
No adults except staff and volunteers in the children's building.
At the 9am service, we will lead the children and return at the sharing of peace.
Between 10 & 10:15 we will welcome children for Discipleship at the doors of the CM Building (if parents arrive late they will need to text for entry)
At 10:50 parents will pick up children from the doors of the CM Building.
Between 10:50 & 11 we will also welcome children for the 11am service (if parents arrive late they will need to text for entry). Children will be brought to the 11am service during the sharing of peace.
All children 3K - 5th grade and staff will wear masks and disinfect hands when entering the CM building and reentering the church. They will also wear masks during our time together.
The nursery will be open for children under two. Staff will wear masks and.or shields. Children under two are not required to wear masks. Every effort will be made to disinfect or remove toys before users.
Staff and volunteers are required to check their temperatures and examine any possible symptoms before each shift.
Please take your child's temperature and examine them for symptoms before coming to church.
Children, staff and volunteers with the following symptoms must stay home and may need medical care. Signs of illness can include but are not limited to:
Fever of 100.4
Loss of taste and/or smell
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Congestion or runny nose
New or worsening cough
Diarrhea, nausea or vomiting
If a family member of a child tests positive for COVID-19, the child will need to remain home from church for 2 weeks.
If a child in attendance tests positive for COVID-19, the child will need to remain home from church for 2 weeks. Notification to the Children's Ministry Director is mandatory.
If a staff member or immediate family member of an employee tests positive for COVID-19, the staff member will need to remain home in self isolation for 2 weeks. Notification to the Children's Ministry Director is mandatory.
Roll will be taken, so if there was an infection on a Sunday all parents will be notified and all children's programs will be shut down for two weeks.
Seating will be spaced out for children 3K - 5th grade. Each child will have their own hula hoop to sit in for the lesson and activities afterwards (siblings may sit together).
Craft supplies will be individually packaged - no community sharing of markers, glue, etc. We will also use clipboards so children can space out around the room.
Individual activity kits are available after the planned lesson or activities have been completed.
Spaces will be disinfected. All toys, craft supplies, and hula hoops will also be disinfected.
Weather permitting, windows will be open to allow for increased ventilation.
No food or drink will be served in the 3K - 5th grade room.
There will be an option for Children's Discipleship on your weekly registration. Please select each week you plan to attend so we can plan accordingly.
