The music ministry of Christ Church Anglican aims to sing God’s word, teach the truth of the gospel, and praise God in a manner fitting to his glory. We do this by careful selection of texts, rehearsal of music, and emphasis on the congregation’s corporate voice in every service. Not only does music enhance our worship, Christ Church Anglican is well-known for its outreach through music. The Christ Church Anglican Choir has recorded two CDs; performed at Piccolo Spoleto, Carnegie Hall, the Biltmore Estate; and local community events. Christ Church Anglican has hosted the East Cooper Concert Series, which showcased local and national artists.

The CCA Choir is vital to worship as the growing group of singers lead congregational singing each Sunday morning as well as perform a wide variety of choral anthems. Singing in the choir allows our members the opportunity for fellowship and making music in a fun and relaxed environment. A variety of music is sung throughout the church year, from classics to praise and worship, along with special music presentations throughout the year. No experience is necessary; all are welcome! Rehearsals take place on Wednesday evenings beginning at 6:15pm in the CCA Office.
INSTRUMENTALISTS
Do you play an instrument? Wind Instruments, Stringed instruments, percussionists and those who play guitar are frequently used in our worship services. Instrumentalists of all ages are invited to participate in worship either weekly or occasionally as need and schedule allow.
HANDBELL CHOIR
The CCA Handbell Choir is open to all adults and students 9th grade and older who wish to make music in a smaller, fun-loving environment. Our handbell choir performs once a month in worship as well as special occasions throughout the church year. Reading music is not required but preferred. The Handbell Choir meets each Tuesday evening at 5:30pm in the CCA Office.
YOUTH MUSIC
The Youth Music team provides a musical outlet for our middle and high school students who wish to sing traditional sacred music in addition to learning instruments in order to perform contemporary praise music in worship. The Youth Music team also provides leadership to our Children’s Choir as they develop in their musical journeys. The Youth Music team practices each Sunday afternoon at 2pm in the CCA Office.
CHILDREN'S CHOIR
The children of CCA ages 5 through 5th grade enjoy making music each Wednesday afternoon from 3:45pm to 4:30pm in the CCA Office. The boys and girls sing contemporary praise songs as well as more traditional children’s music. In addition the boys and girls enjoy dancing, music games and learning to read music as part of their development as young musicians. The Children's Choir performs in our worship services throughout the church year.
