Join Dr. Koch during the 10:10am Rector's Forum on Sundays for a Bible Study on the "other readings." We will walk through the other appointed reading for the week which was not the focus as we continue to let the Word of God speak!
You are encouraged to bring your own Bible (though Bibles will be available). |
Message from Dr. Koch: "In many ways, I think that the experience way back in college of my own immature faith faltering in light of the challenges of the age caused me to go into ministry, to work on my own defense of the faith and help others do the same. This is why I’ve created the 'Weekend Review,' because I’ve walked with too many people through difficult times who have unduly suffered through the hopelessness that is the result of a weakened, anemic faith. Come join me each week as I look at a variety of topics —from current events to ancient philosophy and back— from a biblical worldview as we work out the faith in service of gaining, as we pray in our post-communion prayer, the “strength and courage to love and serve the Lord.” I hope to see you there!"

Led by Father Ted
Do you know where our Church stands on the ordination of women? Is there more than one position? (Spoiler alert: there is.) Can dual positions coexist with integrity? (So far.) What are the reasons underlying the various positions? So many questions! If you are like Fr. Ted and want to read, discuss and learn more, join him in the Coffee Zone of the Children's Ministry building for a Discipleship class offering this fall. This offering is intended to be a group journey to explore and reflect - it is not intended to be a straight lecture class, nor meant to "convert" anyone to a particular position; participants will be asked to join Fr. Ted in reading from various sources and to join in group discussions. |
